Tumbler system

Hey,Pappy I,m sure I am not the first one to ask this, I just got a vibatory
tumbler system I put some very bad cions in that I found MDing. most all of them were past 83' I put them in with 1tblsp of baking soda and a bunch of crushed walnut shells. I let it go for four hours I geuss I am some what satisfied with the results I can read the dates anyway and can tell what they are even with the edges missing on most the coins. Is there something else I should use for each kind of coin like copper,silver nickel,ect.

I use a tumbler to clean my clad coins, i use aquarium rock and arm and hammer washing soda ( not baking soda ) and i add enough water to cover the rock, add my coins and let it run for 12 hours, mine come out nice and clean , see what you think , try it , good luck. Also clean the penny's separte from the dimes and quarters, the penny;s will discolor the dimes and quarters .
