Default Did I get a good deal?

My uncle has had this for years, he has been trying to sell it. I think I did OK for 10$? I know nothing of these machines, so I'm not sure of its value. I just like the way it looks. and runs like a.................sewing machine. Any info on these?

Default Sewing Machine

Sly, I sent you a PM asking what make the sewing machine is. I haven't received a response as of yet.

I can't get your photos to enlarge and I can't read the make on the machine.

Awaiting your reply...THANKS...PAPPY

Thanks Pappy. Across the top say UNIVERSAL, The small oval plaqe says "DeLuxe - deluxe family sewing machine, Japan". The numbered placard reads S66701. I had the ole lady do some homework She found the Phone number to Singer and called them, And I truely DO NOT believe what they told her. Singer phone # 1-800-4 singer

They say it is an Model 15K, Made in June of 1906, in Chlyebank Scotland!!!!!!!!! Now I have issue with that having an electric motor and light. The motor says 110 volts AC/DC AMPs 1.0 CHAMPION made in USA cycles 25-75 universal motor model 24.

I thought It may have been a 1950s or so model, But I dont know?

Now I'm really cornfused,

Edit. I know my pics are lacking. I'm studyin Chuck's lessons in the digital camera forum. srry.

Default Sewing Machine

SLY, I suggest that you vist this site and contact the UNIVERSAL Company direct. It is very possible that your machine may have been made at one place and assembled at another.

Your pic's are better this time.

Submit your pic's to the company and I am very sure that they will be able to identify it for you.

Just click on their contact button.

Welcome to Universal Sewing Co., Inc.

PAPPY
