Hi again Pappy,
I just wanted to show you the gilt buttons I found along with thre rosette. On the rear of them one says "ORANGE COLOUR" the other says "KENDRICK TREBLE GILT" .

MIKE, YOU ARE NEVER A PEST !!! GREAT looking buttons..Did they come from the same site as the other items? The one on the right is a Civil War period Naval Button. I can't determine the one on the left but with the inscription you said was on the button it also falls in the Civil War era time frame.Possibly a button from civilian clothing. I'll try to do some more research and let you know....PAPPY :D :D :D
P.S. I live exactly 185.97 miles from your place...Send me directions...I need to do some hunting too ! LOL. LOL
