Default Went Hunting at Glass Beach this weekend

There was an old bottling plant located here in the early 20th century and the remains of those bottles have been turned into beach glass. The beach glass makes a sound like wind chimes when the waves are up.
It was a miserable, rainy day in Bermuda but when you're in a wetsuit up to your neck in water it doesn't matter much. This beach has a lot of trash in it from the bottling plant and the old british naval officers quarters located just off the beach so I wasn't expecting much loot but I had a few nice surprises. The glass is 2 feet deep along this beach which makes it interesting to hunt. I found the pewter remains of a gold plated ring in the shape of a human hand, interesting find. I also found a Bermudian 50 cent piece which you don't see in circulation anymore.
After a while I could feel my joints stiffening up so I took a short cut through the old convict cemetery back to the car and put the heater on high on the drive back to my Bermuda cottage, circa 1794.
Not a lot of great loot but a lovely way to spend the afternoon.
Good Wishes to All Hunters,
BDA

Default And a Bermudaful Day to You Too Boobie!

Everytime I get the grumbles about living in Bermuda I turn on the Canadian news station and listen to the weather, works everytime.
When are you coming back to Bermuda Boobie? High season starts in April, so you better hurry.

Cheers Mate,

BDA

Default Contact BACO

They are the big player on the island now. The other big player, Mechanical Solutions just folded so BACO is probably looking for people now. I can ask my mechanical project manager if there are any openings if you would like.
Things have changed a little since you were here last, but, that's the way it is everywhere in the world.
Send me your resume if you are really interested.

Default Thats a lot of nice glass

People pay big money for sea glass. Might be worth collecting some and selling.
