Default New England beaches and Nor'easters

anyone hunt in the NE? these two storms and next weeks new moon tides should open the beaches up for great beach detecting!!

Long Island here. Brand new to MDing and haven't hunted any beaches yet. Any advice as to how to hunt? Do you hunt the waterline, the tideline, up near the top? I'm very rookie so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
