Default Mding compation on Dayton beach today

Hey, you'all, We are are competing in the Great southern shoot out this weekend in Daytona beach. Here are some pictures for a warm-up hunt that Kelleyco sponcered. It is fast and furious...wow. Found clad and one new Washington dollor.... hope you enjoy the pictures

I just got off the phone with a buddy who is visiting there in daytona.Did he bring a detector,NOPE what a dope !

That is a bummer,,,they are giving away 24 detectors and $11,000.00 in cash prizes....one of the prizes is $5000.00 cash... people are from all over the country. About 125 people in the hunt. Three hunts tomarrow, and 2 hunts Sunday...

I found the sign up sheet on net and wanted soo bad to go, but with my husbands health problems could not do it this year. Thank you for sharing photos. next year I will be there for sure. Hope you do well. tell us all about every detail thanks again

How'd you do?

They plant an flaged in area with coins and tokens. Some of the tokens have numbers on them and they are for prizes. Some are for $$ some are for detectors. The hunt starts on the sound of a small cannon. Hunt the area till all is found. Takes about 15 min to clear a field. Have to hunt fast and scoop and go, scoop and go. Very intense. The coins and tokens are not in the sand deep, maybe 1 to 2 inches. Hope that helps.
