I headed back to Horseshoe Bay in search of the elusive platinum band. Last night conditions were pretty rough with bad rip currents and rogue waves crashing in over my head, I hoped for better conditions tonight. It was still pretty rough and a lot of sand had been moved around. My second signal turned up a pretty mother of pearl inlayed, junker ring in neck deep water.
I tried the shallows in case I had missed the platinum ring there last night as I never hunt the lane, just the mine. Found a pile of trash which reminded me why I never hunt the shallows.
Upon exiting the beach I saw a sign posted "WARNING, Extreme Caution, Dangerous Rip Current". Funny, I thought, conditions were much worse yesterday; but that's Bermuda for you.
Cheers,
BDA
