Default merc,rossie and wheat

Hit the beach early today and hunted the trench again....found 1 1943 merc, 1 1962 rossie and 1 1947 wheat....also some thingys....but the most intresting was the ship spike.....I found it in the bottom to the trench about neck deep water at low tide.....one of the old timers that hunts the same area looked at the spike and told me that it looked like a spike off one of the old ships that had wreck in that area...So I am researching the wreck.....the spike looks to be wrought iron...I will post more pictures of it in the forum...I could use any help if you know anything about ship spikes please let me know....

It's neat that you are finding those older coins on the beach. I hope someone can sged some light on the spike.
