Default Hurricane Dean opens the chest

I got out late this afternoon and searched in the wave trough left by Hurricane Dean.

Besides clad, I found the eagle pendant first. It wasn't marked so I am assuming it is either less that 9 Karat or plated. I can't tell. I have found other pieces like it and they baffle me.

Towards the end of the hunt, I found the class ring. 19.4 grams of 10Kt gold. My heaviest gold find so far.

Food and Maritime Trades H.S. (Now closed. Part of the NYC school system. I suspect it was lost shortly after it was received. Very little wear and tear.)

Cool finds. I'm sure with all the storms lately we should be seeing some nice finds. The eagle is awesome.

Default I was hoping that Dean would stir things up for you, Steve!

Nice to see the chest is opening for you when the sand is closing it in so many places. The class ring is a very nice 10k ticket. I'm sure you have a lot more headed your way. An Escaudo or even a Reale would look just perfect in the bottom of your scoop.

Cheers,

BDA
