Default I've been thrown out of better places!

My BIL and I went to detect an area where there was a town festival yesterday. There were people there cleaning up the grounds. MDd for a few minutes and then a guy drove over to me and said "No scavenging allowed here!" Do I look like a scavenger to you?? The "arrowhead" in the picture was found at this location before we headed off...

Next went to a lake where the locals swim. Here I found a pocket spill. First I pulled up the Kennedy. I was so excited I called out to tell my BIL. There was another signal, and another, and then the 2nd Kennedy! I was so excited, finding my first and second in the same spot. All told there were 3 dimes, 3 pennies and the 2 1/2s. I also found the ring in this lake. It is not cleaning up very well and not marked so I'm thinking it must be plated. It was pure black when I pulled it out. It does have nice stones that look to be amythist though.

I"m sure we will go back to scavenge later!

I imagine that we have all been in that situation at one time or the other.

We had a local fest here the past couple of days. I drove there last night to get a perspective of the layout of things. Everything should be picked up and cleaned up later today, so I may swing by there and see what others have dropped behind! I sure hope nobody comes and runs me off!

You found some great finds there. I really like that arrowhead you found, and I am sure glad you found it before they ran you off!

Unhappy

I am going to to that very same thing in a few hours. Our town had a festival in the park by the river and they were still tearing down and cleaning up when I went for my morning hunt. So instead I went to the fairgrounds and hunted for 3 hours. Finds......

20 Quarters all clad
6 Dimes al clad
10 Pennies and 1 wheatie
A money clip minus the frog skins
countless Al foil and tabs
One broken motorcycle clutch handle
One ball point pen (cheap)
and no jewelery

Maybe I will have better luck to night at the park if they don't run me out.

Gary

Nice Finds. 2 Halves in the same spot= Cool. I hate getting run off especially when it's a place where you would think there would be no problem. I'm new here in this little mountain town and really don't know anyone so maybe it's cuz they see me as an outsider. If your not born & raised here the greetings can be less than warm at times.
Nice finds for you to Commander. I was able to get out for about an hr and just came up with junk & 1 old glass cutter tool. not much but at least I got out. Good Luck to All!

He may have thought differently if you were helping him find something he lost. I had someone come up to me a few years back and said something negative about detecting (can't remember what) but that's pretty much what I told him.

Don't be discouraged about the runoff. I have been run out after I got permission and I did the right thing and moved on. I like your finds and the halves are the greatest. Is BIL a name or an acronym. Just curious HH
