Default Down the shore

For those of you not from the Philly area...when we go to the beach we say we are going "down the shore." Just a local thing. Anyway this saga started with the "Brigantine" thread...

got onto Brigantines beaches near the large hotel and as soon as we get there we see a woman with an Ace 250 just like the 3 of us (me, DH and BIL) have! We putz about for about 1/2 hour and find only 2 coins between the 3 of us so we decide to head into Atlantic city where the real crowds are.

I wish my BIL could tell this story cause he is a hoot. Anyway, 3 people who do not speak English crowd around him and he gets his pic taken with them. He says "Here I am with my wand hanging out, having my pic taken with these people who can't speak any english." Well I think he meant his detector so now we all call the detector "our wand." Not quite as funny when I say it though.

So my BIL and DH call me over to see the Buffalo nickle that the BIL just found!! And he is telling me he found it in a spot I had just detected over. Well frankly, i"m not buying it. I was sick though. He is such a newbie and I've been working so hard at this and not a buffalo to show yet.

So he gets the buffalo, my DH gets the silver ring pictured in the Brigantine thread, and what do I get, "I get hosed!" I'm teaching these turkeys and they find the good stuff! LOL, guess I'm a good teacher.

Well we eventually go back to Brigantine cause we were renting a house there for the night. In the morning my BIL and I go back out near the sea wall (sort of a cement boardwalk with no stores). That is when I found the watch. So I think I win for the top find of the weekend. (I'm a little competitive, can ya tell?)

Fabulous weather and weekend down the shore!!!
