Default the pixies are mischievous

hi,
detected brighton beach yesterday (10/13) for a few hours - nothing to speak of. This is my third time at brighton with not even silver! I will be working coney island + manhattan beaches when i go to bklyn. in the future.
Went here on s.i. today for a shorter time (the wife was with me so that cut my water detecting time way down) + found a ring. Not sure what it is - it has no markings. Figured it was stainless or titanium. It is not attracted to a magnet + tested positive for silver but does not quite look like silver - any ideas? Will have my jeweler check it out. Have another few days of reasonable temps to detect with - hope the pixies are in a good mood!
Ps - the ring that i thought was palladium - my jeweler said it was european silver of 800 instead of 925 and that it was why it did not test as silver. Also - the marking that i thought was a P - when i got home from the jeweler i cleaned the ring even more + found it to be more of a C than a P!
