a hard day - but records
this is what the water yielded today. Nothing at all to speak of. But, since i have been taken to task because i only post my good finds - this is today’s finds. I worked my butt off as the waves (which were reasonable enough when i started) quickly became between 2 + 3 feet high - but as i am detecting for ring#10 i kept at it. i am exhausted - but it was a good day as i am getting better with my sand shark + in dealing with local water conditions. In all there are 53 pickings shown - a couple of whole cans and huge spike were deposited in the trash can as my pouch could not hold all the junk i had detected. I have never detected this much junk before! 3and 1/2hrs work for $.86 Are the pixies goofing on me with the pipe? Should i use altoids instead of certs? I am confused - who will ever know the ways of the pixies? Donald |

Try this next time you go out. I have it from good sources (who prefer to remain anonymous) that this will work.
A song to counter the Pixie effect. (With apologies to Disney's Peter Pan) Sung to the tune of "You Can Fly") Think of the targets you've found Any little ring quite round Think of glitter, think of glow Think of target sounds Here we go! With a target in the mind You can find! You can find! You can find! You can find! Soon you'll zoom all around the site All it takes is faith and trust But the thing that's a positive must Is a little bit of pixie dust The dust is a positive must You can find! You can find! You can find! You can find! When there's a smile in your heart There's no better time to start It's a very simple plan You can do what the other detectorists can At least it's worth a try You can find! You can find! You can find! You can find!

Hey Donald, I think you got some pretty good finds, the pipe looks interesting and the locks also. What kind of beach are you detecting, fresh or salt water?
I'll let you in on a little secret that Steve's keeping to himself, I don't think he wants you to find more rings than him......You have to do the pixie dance when you sing that song... ![]()
