Default today’s time out

had to do chores with the wife today. One of the stops was at the mall where my jeweler is. Brought the ½ ct diamond ring into him to find out about the stone + have it resized for lorraine. The stone is included + H color which is pretty good - it definitely sparkles just fine! After the chores we went to vote - which is a privilege we hold in high esteem.
Lorraine had a friend come over so i got to go to the beach. Since it was later then when i would get into the water i worked the dry sand. It was nice to use the cibola again + i did this for about 75min of detecting.
Near the end of my time detecting i saw a medium size container ship coming towards where i was. I was surprised that it came as close to the shore that it did. But, since my time was limited i turned my back on it as i was then working up the beach from the water. All of a sudden i heard a loud sound + turned around (a bit startled by the volume of the sound) to see a good 4' wave rushing onto the beach. It was followed by one more of the same size. These were from the boat + were kind of neat to see + hear. I thought about what a tsunami must be like!!
One good thing about this time out was that it was at a beach i have only been to one time this year. It was good to see that enough of the quarters have been there for a while. Also, it was great to get more quarters then pennies.

Good to hear that you were finding targets. Good thing you saw that wave coming!
