Mother Ocean's Stirred Up Today
There's a Gale Blowing Today!
  Winds westerly to 45 kts., seas inside the reef 3'-5', outside the reef 15'-20'. Now that's what I'm talking about!  Time to get my gear ready and head down to the beach.Kewl, BDA  I just wish I wasn't hung over from last night's Robbie Burns Dinner, that was a lot of Scotch Whiskey.

The Bloody Caesar is taking care of the Hangover!
The storm will be at it's peak in a couple of hours so I'll head out then. This is the best part of water detecting, but I'll stay in around waist deep to avoid rip tides and small sharks that have a tendency to come in closer to shore when things are stirred up. Sharks and barracuda can't see you when the water is murky so you have to be careful at these times. There also no one else on the beach in this sort of weather so you're out of luck if you get caught in a riptide.
Drowning and being eaten alive are probably my two least favorite ways to buy the farm so I'm always careful in the water.  Cheers, BDA
