Default Today's the Day! Maiden Voyage for the Pirate Chris.

Yesterday I went hunting on the Southshore to check out the conditions after the gales blew through mid week, waves 3' to 5' so still pretty unhuntable. Not much loot to be found after a few hours in the rough and chilly waters, some small silver earings and a bit of loose change thrown in with the usual assortment of pull tabs and bottle caps. I must remember to write to the people at Heineken and ask them to change the alloy in their bottle caps which sounds just like a fine ladie's gold ring.
Today has dawned cloudy but calm in Bermuda and the sun is supposed to come out later and warm things up a bit. Hopefully, things warm up because I'm taking Chris hunting for the first time and he's still suffering the effects of a bout of Viral Pneumonia. Chris is so excited about going that he's dealing with the jaundiced eye his wife is giving him for going into the chilly water in a wet suit after being off work all week with pneumonia. The lad is pure pirate but he used to be a stock trader so it comes natural I guess. We're bound for the waters of Tobacco Bay this morning so hopefully we'll find more gold, always a great way to start your first cruise as a surf pirate.
I had my morning chat with Coco the neighbours green parrot, walked the pup and loaded up the jeep with gear. Now I just have to drop my Princess off at the spa for her 4 hours of girlie pampering and I've got 4 hours to teach Chris the basics of surf pirating. AARRGHH!

Cheers,

BDA

Here's Wishing the Lad Some Luck!
