Default I'm going to have to make Chris an honourary Pirate.

It's not often a guy goes hunting for the first time ever and brings back decent loot. I've finished cleaning up the finds from todays hunt at Tobacco Bay and I've got to admit the lad did darn good. To knowing nothing about metal detecting (except that he thought surf pirating was way kewl) to finding your first silver ring in just over 2 hours is pretty darn good. Plus he found a 1943 British Half Penny with a pirate ship on the obverse, so there's got to be some pirate in the lad, like attracts like I say.
The .925 Surfer ring is mine but the silver daisy chain ring is a nice find now that it's cleaned up. I have a feeling his wife will like it.

Cheers,

BDA

I believe we all have a little pirate in us...or at least a little Captain!Personally, I've assumed the title of "Mountain Pirate" courtesy of BDA!

All the Good Stuff was in the water and found with the Excal. Give the package until Monday, Chick; it'll take at least that long before the ice breaks up and you can swing that baby. That'll give you some time to learn all of the tones and some of the tricks that make an Excal sing, budget about 100 hours to really start getting the most out of your Excal.

Cheers,

BDA

Great first hunt, certainly some pirate in him. If his wife likes that ring, he's got it made.
