Default Two Weak Rings Today at Horseshoe

My Pirate's Apprentice Chris called today and asked to go out on another hunt with me tomorrow (the lad's got it bad) so I agreed to check out the Southshore Beaches to see if they are ready to hunt yet. Then I got the bad news from my Princess that she has had complications with her eye surgery from yesterday. (*Note - things have worked out for the best so thanks for your prayers guys) I needed to get out of the house as I was stewing in my own juices today and that's never a good thing. The day was overcast with showers and a bit of a chill running but I headed down to Horseshoe Bay to keep my word to my apprentice. The main beach has been stirred up but not enough to matter, just pull tabs over the course of an hour so I headed back to the trusty swimming hole to see if I had overlooked anything. It was a minus tide today so I was able to get out deeper than usual and I managed to excavate a deep pocket which produced everything in the loot pic. All in all, a pretty quiet day at the beach. The 9k? signet ring is the massively corroded green blob in the first pic, it was so far gone that it shattered on cleaning and all I was able to salvage was the body of the ring. (these old rings get very brittle when the copper leaches out of them) The kiddie's butterfly ring is an adjustable junker, the earring is gold 14k? (no mark but still gold) but the find of the day is the $4.50 ferry token. Between the ferry token, the earring and the scrap gold ring I covered expenses today and more importantly I got out and cleared my head.

Cheers,

BDA

Glad you got out and made finds, but more than that[ (*Note - things have worked out for the best so thanks for your prayers guys) I am so glad that things worked out, and will keep hoping and praying that they continue to work out.

Marvelous finds, BDA. Clear head is more important, though. We're all thinkin' about you...

It's all about getting it on the center line (can ya tell I've been flying again?) Seriously - sweeping out the cobwebs and recharging helps us deal with EVERYTHING in a more rational and balanced way. Keep on keeping on, BDA - everything will work out fine.
