Default Hello I am brand new to Treasure hunting.

Actually to be completely honest I am yet to even do any hunting lol. I just purchased a Viper Trident Metal Detector online and can’t wait for it to be delivered. I hope I made the correct choice with this detector? If anyone has any info on this detector please share it with me. I figure I got about two weeks to learn as much as I can before I go out on my first real hunt. I can’t wait and look forward to getting to know some of you and look forward to learning from you all.
Wes
p.s after buying a few extras I paid $403 for this detector did I get a good deal? Also I should add I got no clue what I am doing yet lol

The Viper and the Cobra are made in China beach detectors with a rather poor reputation amongst surf pirates, for quality and detecting ability. I know of a few detectorists who have one as a back up unit but it's not a great unit, I'm sorry to say. It will allow you to get you feet wet in the hobby but not much more. If you decide you like metal detecting at the beach then I would suggest you do some more research and buy a better unit in a few months time.

Cheers,

BDA
