Interesting looking ring! Always a highpoint of the day when gold shows up. A little extra ballast will help when you're out neck deep just don't overdo it or you'll be in trouble if you step into a deep hole. I find it helps to exhale before I kick down on the back of my scoop and I try to use the back surge of the previous wave to help with my kick. Probably not many waves on a freshwater hunt but it helps in the ocean.
Congrats on a Good Hunt,

BDA
