Default A Rough Weekend Leaves Me with the Mumbles.

Friday night I took my boys out for a farewell dinner that lasted into the wee hours and resulted in hangovers all around when I took them to the airport on Saturday. My boys are going home to Canada until I can get them new work permits and they will be sadly missed for the next 2 months. They were dismissed from my last project for being loyal to their captain (that would be me) but I'll have them back as soon as I can get the paperwork jammed through the Immigration Dept. Great Guys who all showed up for the ride to the airport wearing their 'Bermuda Pirates Union, Local #9' tee shirts which are the official uniform for my crew. They'll be back kickin' @ss and takin names soon but I was pretty bummed to see them go so no hunting on Saturday.
Sunday was bright and sunny so I headed to Surf Church for the afternoon low tide. Lots of depositors in the water which was a chilly 68 degrees and lots of pretty bikinis soaking up the rays on the dry. (why didn't I bring my camera, RIP) The surf had been rough on the South Shore throughout the week so I was expecting good hunting grounds but I was disappointed as soon as my feet hit the water, Soft Sand! I tried to find a break in the soft stuff but up to chin deep there was nothing but soft, did two passes just in case I got lucky but no dice. I tried the break zone but nothing but pull tabs, no light jewellery. The Lane was packed with tourists and expats who wouldn't venture in beyond their knees. (Chickens) I noticed that the lifeguards are back on duty now that 'high season' has arrived so I had to avoid the Lane.
I have an arrangement with the boys in red that I can hunt the beach so long as I stay in the water and don't cramp the tourists, even though the rule is no hunting during prime hours (10 to 6) during peak season; why mess with a good deal.
Total take for 2 hours of looting was a handful of pulltabs and 3 skinny dimes. I'm optimistic and patient because I know the sand will shift again and I saw lots of tourists slathered in suntan lotion in chilly water. The loot will be there once the sand clears.

Cheers,

BDA

Hey BDA tough luck, but you were near Bikinis, and hunting! I hear the pirate talk about the mumbles, not the dirt fishers so much. Wonder why/

Anyhow congrats on getting out. I hope you get your crew back soon, Beale.

Default OK, Here's the Deal.

I've PM'ed with TIN and I've offered up 3 of my crews tees as prizes to accompany the other prizes for The Deadman's Chest Hunt. These will not be consolation prizes but bonus prizes added to the top three players. I can't give away or sell the tees because my crew has to earn them as a right of passage into the crew after 3 months service and a consensus amongst the majority of the crew that he deserves one.(if you don't get the tee at 3 months you should pack your bags because you're on the way out)
While I can't sell the tees without disrespecting the men on my crew who have earned them, I can award them to players who have proven their knowledge of pirate lore, that's kewl with the crew.

Play hard, take no prisoners,

BDA
