Default I Spy with My Little Eye, Something That Is

GOLDEN. 18k Gold that is!
My hunting time has been severely curtailed while I get things up and running at the new company. Gold fever has been building in my blood lately and I haven't been able to cool that fire in the limited opportunities I've had lately to go pirating.
I decided to slip down to my beach as soon as I got home from work, in my work clothes no less and get in a half hour hunt before the sun dipped below the waves. No time for a wet suit, just grab the Excal and Go.
I got to the beach to find a 50 something taking photos of his girlfriend (a 30 something) in the water at the prime section of beach. I've hit that area hard a few months ago so no biggy, just move down to an area of wet sand that I haven't hunted hard with lots of pebbles freshly strewn across it. (often a good sign) I was on my 3rd or 4th target when I got a mellow tone that was slightly staticky, probably a pull tab but you never know until you dig it. It was hard digging in those rocks buried in the sand but after a foot the tone disappeared. I scanned the tailings I'd dumped around the hole and there was that mellow tone again only much clearer and rounder. Pulled a bit of the tailings and the tone disappeared again, sifted down the sand and pebbles to see the warm yellow glow of gold, 18k yellow - one of my favorites.
I also managed a nice Stanley screwdiver (like new and worth $20 in Bermuda-Man tools are expensive here), 2 room tags, 2 spoons (soon I'll have a complete service thanks to the hotel - kidding you can't actually use these babies), a bullet, 2 quarters and 2 nickels (1 Canadian 1971, I'd know that beaver anywhere) and what would a hunt be without finding a big fat brass grommet which nearly blew my headphones off. Total time at the beach, 35 minutes - a bit of the yellow in my scoop, a nice sunset and a cutie patootie modelling in the waves. What a great hobby!

Cheers,

BDA

Thanks Mate! It wasn't a huge ending to my personal season but it's always nice to end on a high note, even it's a small high note. Just managed to squeak that last one in before I start a new year. Picked up two plat this year and a little ice some I'm okay with my results.
Tomorrow starts my new season so I'm optimistic.

Cheers Shawn,

BDA

I'd have tried your bikini theory, Steve; but she wasn't wearing one. Good thing I was wearing a patch over one eye so I could focus on the hunt for booty, I mean looking for the treasure chest, oh never mind.

Cheers Mate,

BDA

Hey, BH! When are you going to post some more of that Kewl Spanish Silver? I just love that old silver.

Cheers Mate,
