Default Kite Surfers had a ball today at Cambridge

It was blowing a stiff Nor'wester today which the kite surfers took full advantage of but it made it a little choppy for a surf pirate. No problems with knock downs just a lot of coil instability that forced me to cut back the sensitivity on the Excal to 12 o'clock. I pulled a little over a buck in clad out of the surf, plus an old jack knife that was badly corroded and encrusted. I also found a kewl button made by Richardson and Sons - Derby, possibly a british military button but haven't been able to find anything on it yet.

No gold but that's okay for now,

BDA

I forgot to mention I got a nice bonus present for my Birthday yesterday. The Princess and I went out for my birthday dinner with Bo the Pirate and Roz. Bo runs a little hole in the wall shop that's crammed with tools and cigarettes, best prices on the island of Bermuda. Bo and Roz also live on the water in a beautiful old stone cottage overlooking the Great Sound. As we were sipping wine in their backyard last night I noticed that he was right beside a private beach that I had never hunted which is only about 10 minutes by boat from my place. The beach is about 50 feet below the stone wall that lines the cliff face at the back of Bo's property and I'd never noticed it was so close. Sure enough it's Bo's private beach and he lets the tour boats bring the tourists in for a swim and sunning on the beach, he's been doing this since before he can remember! I asked Bo if he'd mind if I hunted his beach "No Problem, Whenever You Want" was Bo's reply; then he added with a twinkle in his eye "50/50 split on everything you find right?" I nearly busted a gut but I turned to him and said "Sure, Deal!" which kind of surprised him because I know he was only joking, as he tried to think of something clever to recover I added "of course you realize that I Never find Anything of Value." We both had a good laugh over that one and then it was off to dinner which was excllent. I'm looking forward to firing up our boat Plumbago and scooting over for a spin in the surf off of Bo's Beach next weekend.

Kewl,

BDA

I hope it turns out to be the best present of all...can you say "gold coins"? Good luck!
