LOL That sounds like something I'd do. I'm good at taking things apart. The adventure doesn't end with the find!

Hahah yea me too, it's just putting them back together than trying to figure out what to do with all the spare parts that confuses me.

Hey Chick:
Interesting question that i just received the answer to from the Bank of Bermuda. They told me this morning that the reader for the coin machine will reject my coins if they are too dirty or worn. I assume that the device which identifies each coin rubs against the coin fairly vigorously because there was quite a bit of grit in the reject bin after I fed close to $300 through the machine. I assume that the reader has rubbed some of the remaining build up off of my coin finds which would account for the grit. Three quarters of my coins were still accepted (including some of the rejected coins which I fed through a second time) before the dust and grit from my coins knocked the machine out of commission. The bank didn't try to bill me for the machine going down but they did say that the few coins that my Princess wasn't able to scoop back out of the hopper were unacceptable and would I like to come down to the bank and pick them up. That would be a big NO!

Cheers,

BDA

I used to take my grimy clad to the casino but I ran into the same problem there. It used to cause the slot machine to shut down!

Can't use coins in the slots here in Colorado or in Vegas...but you can still cash them in at the window!

I ran all my clad through a machine a while back. It only rejected very few of them. I only had about $100 worth of tumbled coins. It did not take a stray wheat though! I am glad of that, Beale.

It's pretty kewl that you can feed the coins in to the change machine yourself, here in Wisco. the only way that I know of is to take them to the bank when they are open
