Default Out for a quick spin - bits and bobs

I took a quick spin with the Excal today and found a few items of interest. The best was the remains of a WWII era British Silver Six Pence, Mother Ocean ate this one up pretty bad but there was enough left to identify it as a King George the VI, 1937-1946, Silver Six Pence. (pic below)
I also managed a junker watch, a couple of iron ship spikes, a Bermuda 50 cent piece and some other gee gaws. The water is up to 73 degrees now so soon I'll be shedding the wet suit. Tomorrow I'm out for an early hunt at Horseshoe Bay to see if it's ready to give up the goods. It's been a very slow start this year with my favorite beaches heavily sanded in but hopefully that is starting to change.

Cheers,

BDA

Very good hunting BDA! It sounds like the water is just about ready for the summer hunting. I hope you can hit it without the wetsuit soon, Beale.

We've got to figure out how Steve in PR does it. The Beach Bunnies lead him to the loot whereas they distract you and I from the loot. Somehow, Steve has managed to train the bunnies to help him in the hunt. Sleekest looking foxhounds I've ever seen!

Cheers,

BDA
