Default Silver Surf Church

After some success at Horseshoe Bay yesterday I decided to attend Surf Church at Horseshoe Bay this morning for the 7:01 AM low tide. Never a fan of early mornings I dutifully set the alarm for 5:30 so I'd be awake enough to drive to Horseshoe by 6:30.(no coffee - no drive)

There were lots of walkers on the beach by the time I got there a little before 7am and this time I wore my wetsuit as I planned to be in the water for a few hours. I was able to get out a little deeper than yesterday and was immediately rewarded with a 925 butterfly ring, then some clad, followed by the 925 love knot ring and finally a costume ring set with rhinestones.(I think it's costume but have to wait for the Princess' assessment when she gets back from the spa, she's way better than a jeweller at determining jewellery quality, must be a woman thing) I moved back into shallower water and found a spanish 1 Euro coin and then a broken 925 bracelet that will be easy to fix. I also eyeballed a pair of sunglasses that turned out to be FENDI oversized designer sunglasses, retail in Bermuda is a little over $300 and not a scratch on them; no luck finding the Maui Jim's I was asked to look for yesterday though.

A couple of soon to weds showed up with the bridesmaids for pictures on the beach, fortunately it was cool at this hour so the poor guy didn't melt in his gorilla suit. Ain't Love Grand!

After 3 hours, I was bone tired and ready for breakfast so I turned the jeep for home and some of my homemade breakfast burritos, Delicious!

Cheers,

BDA

Oddly enough, my Princess has misplaced her Maui Jim's as of yesterday and is now wearing the FENDI sunglasses which she says she likes even better but I hope she finds the other sunglasses because they were also worth $300.(I was sure she said she paid $199 for them when she told me she'd bought them) For better for worse and it's always better than worse.

Cheers,

BDA

God is where you find him/her, I find God in Nature among other places. There's something about an beautiful beach with the sun popping up out of the ocean and white clouds in a blue sky tinted orange that will make a believer out of anyone.

Cheers Mate,

BDA

The best time to hunt Bermuda is when the sand has shifted enough to get down to the good stuff, normally May thru August and then December thru February. The sands have been slow in shifting this year so everything is delayed at least for surf pirating. The wetsand I don't work too much and scuba isn't something I've gotten into yet. I fan targets with my foot to quickly blow a hole but the snorkel and hand fan thing will have to wait until the water warms up. I've never been a really strong swimmer so I prefer to wade.

Cheers,

BDA
