I think that "E" has one of those...There was a review a few weeks ago on those...Might want to check the back posts...It should be a good little machine...I don't have one, but that is what I have heard..I am sure someone else will chime in....Buster......

Have not used it on sand yet ... read the second paragraph of my blog titled "Friday night Saturday day (mis)asdventures" for a brief (unpleasant) experience with the V730 ... not really thorough, but something to watch for ...

Was gonna use mine today snorkeling but was hitting it so good on the beach that I didn't even get in the water, hopefully I will this week, will definitely let yall know, I've air tested it with coins, jewelry, keys etc, got some good beeps as far as 6 inches away on some stuff.

I question the value of a pinpointer in the water. If you are diving then it could be useful but if you are wading with a big @ss scoop then you just want to narrow the target down to 3" plus or minus. The scoop and experience will take care of the rest. You are generally in water deep enough that you can't reach the target with a pinpointer anyways.
