It really is different from any of my other gold rings or even any I've seen posted. The inlay looks like a blue enamel or perhaps a blue stone of some kind. What's really wierd is that the inlay is on the inside of the ring, quite strange.

That's a really nice ring for sure. Does the inlay go all the way around the inside? I am going to take a guess at the reason for the inlay. My wife and I bought really nice rings for our wedding only to find out that my wife was allergic to fine gold. She had to line the inside of the ring with some nail polish or something or her finger would literally blister underneath the ring. The same with gold chains on her neck. It could be who ever owned it may have been allergic to gold(?).

I had wondered the same thing. Perhaps it is an allergy to gold as the inlay is slightly raised and goes all the way around the inside of the ring.
