Default I've been a little der motivated lately but an 18k band has helped kick it up a notch

I haven't got out for a serious hunt since I strained my back at Horseshoe almost a month ago. For some reason I've lacked my usual motivation but today the Princess and I went down to our beach for a swim and there were lots of donors in the water including a bunch of boaters, so I had to do something. It was either hunt or give up the skull and crossbones so back to the cottage I went and grabbed up the Excal and my trusty scoop.
It was late in the day so the hotel guests were heading for their rooms to change for dinner and the boaters were hauling anchor which left me with the beach to myself. I did a couple of spins around the prime areas (I think I could hunt this beach blindfolded at this point) and picked up $1.50 in clad, a bit off of a boat and a nice 18k yellow gold, comfort fit band with what looks like a blue enamel inlay on the inside of the ring.
Called it a hunt after an hour as the stomach was growling. Glad I went hunting, for sure.

Cheers,

I've been feeling the same way. Just can't seem to get up and moving. Anyway, beautiful 18k gold band. Congrats, and HH!!

Congratz BDA, makes me wish we had more beaches here in Wisco. With summer only being 2 months and the lake around me turning all green in August we don't have many places to swim.

Some of the shallow areas are starting to build up mossy algae here too. The shallows warm up into the 90's and the algae bloom is quick to follow, NO FUN wading through goo.
Look for deeper lakes, Mate as the slews will be a breeding ground for nasty stuff like swimmers itch and other rashes.

Cheers,
