Default First Beach hunt...

OK;

I have a new appreciation for all of the water detectorists out there. My neighbor Mark and I went out to Pensacola beach yesterday to try out our new water detectors. Well let me tell you getting beat up by waves and not trying to nail some kids who hover around you with a nice heavy beach scoop aint easy....Found a quarter in the first five minutes, but the waves were so bad, we had to retreat to the sound side to continue our first hunt...nothing too great, except I didn't hit tons of junk like he did. he's swingin' a Garrets Infinium, and me, I have White's Beach hunter I.D. we both walked away with pocket change, him more than I, but anyway, more posts to follow soon as beach hunting 101 as per BDA and others continues...

Homefire, do you have the same kind of 'beach front' property I do here in Colorado? The only 'beaches' we have here are the shores along white water rapids and 36 degree water lakes. Not too many folks 'frolicking' in the water to drop something.

I am hoping to head to So Cal this summer and hitting up Newport Beach and Huntington Beach!!
