Default Hurricane Bertha Enroute to Bermuda?

It looks like I may be getting that storm I was hoping for but it'll be a Hurricane instead of just a storm if the forecasters have it right this time. Very unusual to get a hurricane in Bermuda in July. Usually, we don't see anything by way of heavy weather until late in the season. (Sept. or Oct.)
Bermuda will be watching this one very closely as it approaches with landfall expected this weekend. Too soon to say for sure but at the moment we are the bullseye.

Cheers,

If you can't evacuate as Diggin'Fool said, then hunker down,my friend and stay safe.Seek a good strong shelter and when it's over, harvest all that loot it will have washed ashore.Goodluck.

The forecast is for a CAT 1 if and when Bertha hits in about 5 days. A lot can happen in 5 days so it may get stronger or it may fizzle out, even miss Bermuda all together.(we are a VERY small dot in the middle of the ocean)
I'll inventory our hurricane gear to make sure we are prepared for whatever may come. The Princess and I have been through a CAT1 already when Hurricane Florence hit back in 2006 but we won't consider evacuating for anything less than a CAT5 as it will be very difficult getting our old dog off the island. Our cottage has survived hurricanes since 1794 so we should be all right, if we take a direct hit.

Kewl and thanks for your concern,
