Destin, Florida
Hey guys,
My husband and I kind of decided at the last minute to take a well deserved break and go to Florida. Destin is the closest place and it is about a 9 1/2 hour drive. My grandson and my mother are going with us. I am a little nervous because I have never been there before and I hope it turns out well and we can just play on the beach and sit by the pool. We found what looks like a nice place with a couple of bedrooms and a kitchen. A friend told me it just wasn't nice there anymore because it was so overdeveloped.  Have any of you been there, and if so what kind of experience did you have? Of course I am taking the metal detector along as well. I can't wait to get out in the mornings and see what I can find. I would appreciate any comments. We are leaving next week and staying for a week.
