Where Can I purchase....

After some thought and being irritated that the weather has proved to hot to hunt for the past two days, the wife and I decided to give water hunting a shot.

I was wondering if anyone could suggest where I could pick up a water scoop (sand scoop?) for a very reasonable price.

get a grain scoop for horses at a farm store, then drill holes in it. 2 bux and you have a sand scoop.

Hey, thats a good idea! My wife suggested a pooper scooper but I doubt that will work.

In defense of the pooper scooper (kitty litter scoop), I've used one for the past two weekends being that I just got my detector and am getting familiar with it hunting on the beach. The scoop worked excellent on dry sand for me, I dug around 50 coins and a set of keys my first time out. I will however have to leave the pooper scooper behind as I enter the water next time out where a long handled scoop will take over scooping duties. Just my $.02 on the subject.

That is a great idea. I too believe that something with a long handle will serve us best in the water.

I did the same thing as Rob. I went to the local feed and grain and got my scoop for three bucks. Fifteen minutes later, I had my sand scoop.
