I am glad to be here!
I stumbled across this site and I think that this is the best, most encompassing detecting forum that I have seen. It's like a breath of fresh air. I am glad to being a member of the TQ community. Hats off to Greg for creating something that was sorely needed.
 I am a wader and get to hunt year round. I own 2 detectors, a DetectorPro Wader and a Minelab Excalibur 1000. I am mainly using the Excal because there is so much trash on my beaches and the DP, while a very good machine, just does not discrim as well as I would like. I have been hunting for 1.5 years and I have had good luck here with 55 gold rings, 46 gold items, a bunch of silver jewelry anmd over $800 in coin. I am looking forward to seeing the posts and adding a few of my own in the near future!
