July 14th I went for a spin on the beach in my backyard the wind had come around from the SW and stirred up all of the dead sand that has been plaguing my hunts lately. A whole lot of silence broken up by the occassional rasp of aluminium pull tabs and the odd coin. Hit the tri-gold ring about an hour into the 2 hour hunt and I was happy to see that color again (pretty deep target about 14" deep).
Sunday morning I decided to try something different and headed down to the big tourist beach. Really crowded with joggers and swimmers at 7 am and the waves just crashing in so I found a protected swimming hole and worked that for a while and found the silver ring.
All things considered I was pretty pleased with a double ring weekend.
Cheers,
BDA
