Default Little Jersey Shore hunting this weekend

Gonna head down to Ocean City, NJ for a little MDing. Last time I was there, I found a diamond ring. I believe there's another one waiting for me.

Spend a little quality time with the Dad, who a MDer also. I'll be sure to bring my gloves and warm jacket though.

Its suppose to be sunny. 36 degrees and heavy wind will make it feel like 19. Gotta bring the long johns.

Well, had fun in the sun, but not much luck in the discovery area. A few clad coins, but that was it.

I was a little disappointed in my DFX compared to my dad 6000/d. I tried using the DFX's Jewelry/Beach program and tweaking areas like AC, DC, Preamp, sweep speed, but seemed I was getting a lot of false readings and could never really get on track.

And that Tone ID was annoying as hell, so I switched over to another program and re-tweaked it (getting rid of the Tone ID).

All in all, I got to spend time with my dad who was tearing up the beach with his Whites 6000/d.

Some days at the beach I'm lucky to find anything! The real treasure was the time spent together with your dad.

I lived in PR for 4 years (when I was Navy). Wish I was into MD then (late 70's). Rio Bajo, Naguabo, Farjardo, Roosy Rds. Loved them all.
