Pris, if you are putting the worms back in the hole, please don't step on the plug, I'm sure that you are crushing them! Instead just cover the hole with your hands lightly or remove the worms to a safer place! A friend of mine feeds them to his hunting dog "Demon" as a snack!..........HH...........Joe

putting worm in hole and stamping down on plug will not kill the worm.... you would be killing thousands just walking in your yard.... farm pastures are very good place to dig crawlers after a good rain. If a ton and half bovine doesnt crush them a person wont. cutting worm in half... the backside of the worm dies.. the side with a head keeps growing more segments and goes on its way. most birds will only be able to get half a worm out of the hole. they are designed to break in half for that very reason... SO PLEASE DONT HAVE WORM MURDER ANXIETY.... all of those lil crawlies will live another day.... SO THEY CAN DROWN WHILE IMPALED ON MY RAZOR SHARP FISHING HOOK

im sensitive to worms problems while on my fishing hook.... thats why i keep hoping a fish will come by and put him/her out of their misery really fast. bass asissted worm euthanisia... this has been one great thread.... i hope people keep adding to it

I need a new pet I think a worm is just the thing. I will be sure not to feed it self rising cornmeal this time maybe just self rising flour.

have ya seen the kids movie how to eat fried worms... your wouldnt need breading... got the peanut oil a heatin up now.... wonder if they taste like chicken?
