Talking whats in a name

Well, when my wife and I got into this hobby, we found this forum and needed a name, hence our last name begins with E-g-g. So we took up the name Egghunters.

My name has a story behind it as well. I am a Christian. Haven't always been, however. As a personal testimony I was involved in the occult for many years. A "religion" called Wicca. At the time I was involved in it, everything seemed "okay". I followed the "Wiccan Rede" to the tee and always thought it was a good thing - I didn't realize how deceptive it really was. About eleven years ago I found myself on my knees asking for forgiveness from God and according to the third chapter in the Gospel of John, I became "born again". I have served our Lord these past years and it has directed my life and choices - especially in the political arena. My spiritual life grows every day and God has given me insight on what is right and what He accepts and condemns. I've journeyed to the Holy Land a few years ago to witness where so many things have taken place - and will take place. My favorite subject concerning biblical matters is bible prophecy. Prophecy that has already taken place and is now history - and prophecy that has yet to be fulfilled. Every day we see evidence of things that are being manifest that has been written thousands of years ago in the Scriptures. The most evident of these is the return of the Jewish people back to their Holy Land. This was prophecy that has become history on May 14th, 1948 - a nation was reborn in a day. Until my day comes, I will continue to proclaim the good news of our Saviour. I will continue to watch the "Signs of the Times" ... I do believe it, and as my name proclaims - we are living in the Final Last Days.

Nothing nearly as meaningful as some others here for mine.

Mine stems from the jitters that I get when driving past anything of historical significance. I must see it and know about it or it drives me mad. Any roadside historical marker or obscure museum will add hours to a family trip, much to my childrens' chagrin......

I just need a fix now and then, it's not an addiction. Really.

I know, I know, you can quit anytime. The first step towards the cure is admitting to the addiction .

Default Nicknames

Nothing special bout mine. I had chosen "Gator" some years back while playing an online game with a lot of buddies. Most of us had known one another sometime in life but are scattered to the four coronors of the globe now days. Anyway,I couldnt think of a catchy nickname and several of them told me to use Gator since I was from the bayou country. I do have several other names some of my so called friends call me but I dont wanna use em here, lol.

Well there are alot of great stories here. I USED to do alot of country dancing, 2 stepping and line dancing. Unfortunately I don't do it any more but still love the music. I use this for all of my email and screen names and it is just too much trouble to change email addresses these days. Still a cntrydncr at heart! Now I have a new obsession......
