Great contest Shawn and congratulations to all those who have solved clues. As for me, I'm enjoying following this thread, but like I said earlier, it's waaay over my head .

Enjoy Hawaii Shawn, do you have your detector with you???

TINMAN and Buster, I don't know if you'll need a full 14 footer, I think a detector would easily fit in an 8 footer .

Nope, 8 footers to small. HAVE TO Have a BIG ONE ! More of a challenge as anyone can deal with a little 8 footer. Besides We can get more boots out of the hide and more Tail to eat. Oh Yeah if you want that Treasure your gonna have to really work for it. 8 footer, thats kid stuff.

Default EPC Guy's Treasure - Clue #6

Good Morning my fellow treasure hounds! I am running a bit behind this morning - but I think I have a great clue for y'all to TRY to solve!

Here's the recap of the clues thus far:

1. North
2. Great Lakes / Lake Superior
3. Upper Peninsula
4. Iron Mountain
5. Route twenty-eight

Congrats to Arkwater for getting into the clue chase...it's possible that we could have a tie...if so, I'll get with persons to determine a fair method to use as a tie-breaker...so with that - put on your thinking caps!

I am named by the Ojibwa; they called me the place of the falling leaves. The ancient ones are here no more, but their spirits and their city may at times be seen.

Clue Counter

JC -3
rlemp - 1
Arkwater - 1

Good luck, everyone!

Gogebic is the only Ojibwa word I could find that has a possible meaning of "the place of falling leaves".

Could it be Lake Gogebic?

Tim
BTW, how many guesses do we get?

Well - a person can have as many guesses as it takes until the clue is solved - but you won't need any more, because Lake Gogebic is correct! Congrats! It's getting harder and harder to stump you guys...guess I'm giving TOO many hints!

OK folks...the FINAL clue will be posted this afternoon at 1:00 p.m. (MDT)!

JC - it looks like you have won the Red Book United States Coin guide - so if you'll kindly PM me with an address, I'll have it sent to you today!
