Way to go Obmit, thanks for ending my suffering! Shawn thanks for the fun. In the end I was thinking Chapin Mine because there is a museum there, and they are rebuilding an ole WWII glider. I thought from one of your posts you mentioned soaring in a glider... yada yada yada. Anyway the treasure hunt was a great idea.
p.s. i'm going to join tinman and throw a "few" back to help ease the pain.

I took a guess that MDIII was a Roman numeral so I figured it was part of an address so I stuck 1503 Lake Gogebic in a Google Map search and that was the only address that came up.

Like they say here in the South "Even a blind hog finds a acorn every now and then"

This was sooooo much fun!!

Congratulations Tim, you're a Genius.

I couldn't get MD as something with Metal Detecting, never even considered Roman numerals. Guess it's a good thing that I didn't chose law as a profession!

Great contest Shawn, I'll never win one of these but it's fun reading the posts and wracking my brain.

Yeah - I could see that no one was thinking of roman numerals - that's why when I added additional hints, I always numbered them with roman numerals - hoping that someone would see the difference (I never used roman numerals in any of the previous clues)...ObMiT chased this from a bit different angle than I did - but he found the 1503 AND identified Ironwood as the location...good enough!

I'm working on another one...this time I plan to have everything completed prior to announcing it - as opposed to just staying one clue ahead...ALSO - JC and Tinman mentioned something about wanting to do one - so, I'd like to see (and participate) in their hunt next...
