The funny thing about when you listed your clues, Shawn, is that I picked up on the Roman Numeral thing and always thought that III was Roman Numeral, but didn't EVEN think that MD was. I was looking for a road with M D as the initials, like Midway Road or something. I looked at the map for a pretty long time.

You're such a great guy, Shawn. I think you did a superb job with the clues. They were very imaginative, and WAAAAY above my head. Thanks for a great contest!

Well, this has been a great thread but I would like to keep it going a bit longer. I would like to see some more of these events and on that note would be interested in some feedback on the things you liked, and some ideas on how we could improve it. I heard during the hunt that it would be good to have a time that you knew the clues would be posted. What do you think? Let's hear some inputs so we can do another one of these fun events. It was awesome. JC

Hey JC I agree. I really only saw one issue. It was the time of the clues. We have so many different time zones with all of our members. It made it hard on some of us to even see the clue before it was solved. I can not post at work (The I.T. dept deems this site a no no?). I have to post very early EMT, or after work.

If (and I do not know how) this could be solved. It would help people like me? I dunno this was a great and fun puzzle. I really enjoyed it. I would love to see another one, Beale.

It would be nice to have a specific time for the clues. Or post the whole list of clues where one can't be solved until after the previous one has. Of course this adds to the complexity of creating the clues but we all know that the clue creator is much smarter than us lowley hunters.

I agree that the clues should have been posted at a pre-determined time in order to allow the maximum number of people to participate. I also agree with JC - if two or three of us put our heads together - we could come up with a killer hunt! Any other feedback from anyone is appreciated - and if Gregory is kind enough to let us do this again - the next one will be even better!

Default The Next Hunt

OK, OK Hers a Killer Idea for the Next Hunt. We Get Something Really, Really Cool, Then ( heres the best part ) Then You's send Me to Somewhere In Hawaii and then I stay there to gaurd it so no one can accidently find it and then after someone solves the majaority of the 70 clues ( Should happen right around May ) Then I come back and deliver it to them Personally. :presents3: Then We can all Celebrate The winners Good Fortune and My Vacation er I mean My Safe Return. :santahat:

I really enjoyed this hunt in fact I liked it so well I'd like to create a forum just for online treasure hunts. What do you guys think?

I'll sponsor the next hunt with a prize.

Thank you Shawn for the hunt.

Greg

Hm. Do you work for the government?

Hey Gregory! That's a great idea. I'm sure you'd have a lot of people tearing hair out and all, but it's a fabulous idea. :grinningelf:
