Country Breakfast on Christmas Morning:
Fresh brown eggs, whole hog sausage, fried potatos, hot bisquits w/ cream gravy, and fresh perked coffee. We may not have a lot of gifts under the tree, but we sure are going to eat good. *keeping watch out the window to see if it has started to snow yet. *sleading down the hill on a piece of tin barn roofing. *going rabbit hunting in the snow. *splittin fire wood for the stove. *Daddy having a little too much Christmas cheer. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL. From the country: Last edited by norris; 12-22-2006 at 07:33 PM. |

We were so poor that we could bearly afford air to breathe.
I have been told that I was older than dirt. I'm really not that old, but I do remember when Moby Dick was a minnow. All in all I am old enough, and wise enough (but it doesn't take very much wisdom) to know that Dec. 25th is when we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ our Savior, and that is why we call it Christmas. So if that makes me politically incorrect, so be it. It's too bad that Christmas has become so commercialized, that a lot of the real meaning of Christmas has been lost, and it is up to us as parents to teach our children the real reason for the season." MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL" |
