Thanks for checking on us Pappy. Thought "I Might Be Country", because I didn't have running water in the house, but we got power back so the well pump works now. Got everything working again after 9 days, except the propane furnace. Of all things, a big walnut limb fell across the gas line, and broke it underground. Have to dig it up, and replace it, but that old wood stove is still humping, so we're O.K.
Did you get hit very hard by the storm? Let me know how you are doing.

YEP, We are doing Fine as frog hair split four ways. Missed the big part of the storm and everything melted off today....GLAD to hear you all are doing alright....Keep the ole wood stove stoked

you peel the bark off a cedar post and grind it up real fine and sprinkle it around one of the seats in the "two-holer" out back of your grandpa's house. My grandpa was generally good natured but when my freind and I did this, the razor strap came out.

Ole' PAPPY has been country all of his life and I thought I would share a little WISDOM that I have accumulated over the years....HERE GOES...

Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull strong.

Keep skunks and bankers and lawyers at at distance.

Life is simpler when you plow around the stumps.

Bees are considerably faster than a John Deere Tractor !

Words that soak into your ears are whispered...not yelled.

Meanness don't just happen overnight.

Forgive your enemies. IT MESSES UP THEIR HEADS !

Do not corner something that you know is meaner than you.

It don't take a very big person to carry a grudge.

Good words to live by Pappy. Looks like things are going to be O.K. here. Just a big mess to clean up. Got up to 45* today, so most ice, and snow is gone. Now we got the slop to deal with. Thanks to everyone for the thoughts, and prayers. They sure did help.
