I work for a major trash hauling company. I started on the back of a truck slinging trash, and now I am in sales. (Don't laugh, it smells just like MONEY!) I sell commercial and residential service, this is where I got the idea to buy a detector, after seeing so many old (pretty to me) houses torn down and hauled to the landfill for a new (ugly to me) house set in its place, I figured there must be some good stuff laying around these houses. So i think I have the perfect job for someone who likes metal detecting. Ill let you know.....

Been on the sidelines for awhile, too wet and cold for MD'ing. 4406 unread posts since my last visit! Wow! Ran into this thread while skimming the list.

I'm currently retired (sort of) After a stint in the USN as a shipfitter, I worked in office machine repair (calculators, computer input tape machines, etc.) for about 5 years. Then the next 40 years in the hollow metal door and frame business, mostly as a one man show, bidding, selling, fabricating, shipping and repair. In 1986 I started my own business in repair and modification of hollow metal doors and frames (commercial buildings) until my retirement almost 3 years ago. Now I work when it is available, fabricating whatever, driveway gates, stair and balcony rails, steel sculptures, trailers, or anything from steel and/or aluminum.

I have a website that displays much of my work at HMDS, Door Walker door carts, wrought iron, steel sculptures

I work in the kitchen at The Whiteface Lodge in Lake Placid NY. I'm a chef, but not THE chef (big difference in salary). I'm so new to this hobby I don't even have a detector yet.

Default What does everyone do for work? Part 2

Not sure if this has been posted before, but I thought it would be interesting to hear what everyone does for a living.
I work for Paul Reed Smith Guitars in Stevensville Md. I am a guitar craftsman. It's a great job and very interesting! Looking forward to hearing from everyone!

I believe there is another thread somewhere on this subject...but I'm an account manager for Honeywell. I manage our west region sales efforts in energy reducing building retrofits for the public (low-income) housing market.

I tried to find one Epc, so I did not duplicate it. I guess I did not look hard enough. Sorry for the duplicate thread. Thanks for responding though.
