Worked in DuPont IT division for 6 years until that was sold to Computer Sciences Corporation, am still here after the sale 11 years later, hoping to make it 12 more years and then RETIREMENT !

Which means, at the rate the market is going and costs are still spiraling upwards , finding some sort of part-time job somewhere ; maybe there's a hobby shop nearby that can use some "life expertise" in their MD section.

One way or the other, it should leave more time for hunting !

Smile I drive a Concrete Mixer and have been

for thirty years. I love my job, especially when it is super busy. Ten hour days make me happy. I will go anywhere, anytime. My job is like, M.D.ing. Experience is the best teacher. The more you do it the better you become, unless... Hope to retire in ten years and would like to get into finding gold in the creeks and rivers in Gold Country in California. Wish me luck.

Let me work from present backwards.

Currently, I am a Finance Director for a CAP Non Profit. We run a Head Start Program, a Job Training Program, a Substance Abuse Program, a Youth Services, a Senior Services, a Public Transit System and several small grants. I have been here since October, 2006.

Before that, I was laid off from a company that manufactures equipment that digitizes Analog Video, mainly for Surveillance and Security. My company is the one that Identified the 9/11/2001 Hijackers since our system was installed at Dulles Airport. Our system is also installed in the Pentagon and was in the World Trade Center. Those are some of the 'high profile' customers, but our largest customers were Target and The Home Depot. So if you have ever been in a Target or The Home Depot, your image is stored on a hard drive in a computer at the store. I was in Customer Support, mainly supporting Target and The Home Depot. 6 1/2 years there.

Before that, I was a Network Administrator for Kaiser Permanente for one year.

Before that, I spent 16 years as a Realtor, mainly doing the Finances for my father's Brokerage Firms in Southern California. My father helped start the company called Century 21 and the Gold Coat was his idea, way back in the beginning (1972) I was involved with over 5,000 closed Real Estate Transactions.

My wife is an RN in a Cath Lab and loves her work.

We have six kids.

Retired 2 yrs. ago and have been pastoring a small local church since then. Very interesting post. Great to hear what you all are working at!!

Not clever enough to keep from washing my ipod....twice

Oh well, thanks for the compliment. I just hope when it dries out it will be okay.

Mac, that seems pretty cool you used to work at a place that make surveillance systems.

I work at a title insurance company. I cut people's mortgage loan checks and almost always Fedex them to the right place on time. =)
