Im a Dad and husband. I get payed to be a State Trooper. Before that I was State Corrections. Like the Trooper job much better. Its not as exciting as people think. I read a book once that summed it up pretty good. "Its 95% boredom, 4% excitement and 1% sheer terror". Another one I like, "its a three ring circuis and I have front row seats". I like helping people when I can. I enjoy sending dirtbags to jail. And always take time to patrol through the neighborhoods to say hi to the kids. If you dont like paperwork this jobs not for you!

I am a Service Technician. Now that's not really what I do we make industrial gases on site for customers. We separate the air into into it's component parts Nitrogen and Oxygen. I operate and maintain all the on site customers in my area. I am always on call and travel quite a bit to keep in contact with my customers. The plants are fully computer automated and I therefore must also be computer savvy and use PLC controllers. I handle electrical and mechanical problems and hire people to take care of any problems I can't handle which are very few. I weld, braze and silver solder. I have a degree in Engineering and make more doing this than any Engineer I know. I am thinking of making my own digging tool as I have tons of implements of construction and destruction. ICE

Talking What I have done to survive.

I started work in a cabinet shop. Did all phases of work from cutting to installing. Then I found my favorite job working on a private RR hauling logs out of the woods for 12 years until Mt St. Helens ended that job for me. I went back to school for two years. then I worked for three years in a machine shop as a cnc programmer/operator. Then the job I now have found me. I am a plant operator for a minerals plant that makes precipitated calcium carbonate for paper mills. I do everything from light admin. work to process control and maintenance. Small plant where I am on shift by myself most of the time. Been there for 18 years now. I still do a lot of hobby type woodwork for enjoyment. Paddle my kayak in the moutain lakes when possible and now am learning to MD.
