I just found this thread so I figured I'd ad my 2cents.

Right now I work in advertising for the local paper in New Bern, NC. and also work my second job at night at home which is create and execute direct mailings and produce marketing materials for companies such as JVC, DVI Gear, Playboy Racing, etc, etc. I have customers here and in Canada.

I worked for a FOX News affiliate in Phx. for 5.5 yrs as a video editor. I still do some on the side, but mostly I either critique or consult for people/companies.

I am so happy to have found this site! You are all such GREAT people. I hope everyone one of you have to get down on hands and knees and get nasty filthy dirty, digging like mad, ONLY TO FIND YOUR FINANCIAL FREEDOM!!!! :)

Best of luck to you all and safe travels!

There are a lot of varied careers here. Here is mine.

I graduated nursing school in December 2006 and work in the emergency room of a Pittsburgh Hospital. Before that, I handled the admitting paperwork for the same hospital. I hope to be doing this for a long time.

I do theatrical work for a living. I am the director of the facility at Indiana University Kokomo and I do everything from contracts for outside users, theatrical design work to maintenance on the facility.

Hey Indy---Honeywell tried to hire me a few years ago. They tried to get the package to work for me but they just couldn't get the bottom line high enough. It's a cool place I have to admit.

Here is a link to some pictures of some of the shows I have designed(both sets and lighting).

I'm a Navy guy as the avatar shows. I was active duty up until 1995. I retired in 1995, took a 3 month vacation, then went back to the Navy as a civilian Navy Instructor and have been working there ever since.

I get to still travel around the world meeting different Navy ships and going out to sea, only now, I get to grow my hair out, plug an earring in once in a while (wife's request) and don't answer to any more obnoxious officers.

MDing, playing music and boating are my hobbies. Not enough time in a day for all though.

I never bring my MD, cause the decks would probably blow my ears out.

I am retired now, but I was a Materials Engineer for International Truck and Engine (formally International Harvester). I worked 31.5 years and had various management and engineering assignments. I spent the entire time with the Foundry Operations in Indianapolis, Indiana.
