I'm 63 and still don't know what i want to be when I get grown.
Mean while I have been in home construction for the past 44 years.
The last 20 I have been self employed in the electrical and ac trade.
Thinking about retiring soon.

Hey Wyatt, that is beautiful- I know that anything can get boring but those must bring a big smile on everyone who buys one' "face" Can't replace that with money. Bringing smiles to people is an art- keep up the good work.

Hey, Fishingfool, where in Oregon are you??? I am in Lincoln City. We need to try to get together with our families sometime.

I have a job that requires many many hours. My husband and I manager a resort Motel/Hotel in Lincoln City Oregon. It has 50 rooms, manage housekeepers (5) and a few hundred people. Making their lives easier is not always easy but I give it a great try with a smiling face. One day soon though, we will be going on a trip and I am going to stop and see all that I can see, do all that I can do, fish, pan, md, minister some, all that I can and see much of our states again. I will have a different agenda this time, mding and panning besides the fishing.

we used to take live reindeer to the east coast for Christmas- great fun- saw lots of history. Now I want to uncover some,

blessings to all

Hey didijim, I live in Grants Pass. I run heavy equipment for a paving and construction buisness so my work is starting to pick up right now, but I always find time to either md or fish on the weekends. It has been cold and wet lately so not much md'ing but I caught an eight pound steelhead out of the rouge river a couple of days ago.If you come through this way on your travels get ahold of me, I would really like to meet some of the nice people from TQ.

I retired 4 years ago after 30.02 years of teaching in NC's prison system, the last 16 years of which were spent at NC's maximum custody women's prison in Raleigh, NC .... since retirement I have continued to work on an hourly basis under contract to the warden of the prison from which I retired and I also work part time in RV sales at Camptown RV in Clayton, NC .... my wife (who is due to retire in June after 43 years of teaching high school chemistry and physics) and I have towed our camper over 50,000 miles in the last 4 years while visiting every state but Alaska and from NY up to Maine (I don't count Hawaii, haven't found a bridge) ... my wife and I are both getting into metal detecting as a hobby to add to our traveling and camping

I've worked as an Emergency Room Nurse/Nurse Manager for 19 years. With a 3 year tour as a flight nurse on a medical helicopter. Need to find a way to make a living at metal detecting.

I was a Home Economics teacher for 17 years (Indy...taught sewing!) but for the last 11 years I have been a high school guidance counselor. Waiting to go home now....having an ice/snow storm. Hoping to retire in about 3 years.

I am now a professional Beach Bum. It is my most satisfying job so far. I like the hours and my office has a nice view.

Before this, I had to work for a living. First in construction then as a buyer for Eastman Kodak in Rochester NY for 28 years. I'll take my current job over my old job. No comparison.

I am a detective for a local police deparment and that is actually how I got involved with metal detecting. The department bought a MD and I started playing around with it to see how it worked. After finding a few trash items, I thought this could be a fun hobby to do with my dad. We went out and bought ACE 250's and I have been out everyday since.

believe me....even after many years I still manage to put sleeves on backwards and have to redo them! Not hard to do, especially if you take shortcuts like I do and dont do all of the marking you should! It is a great hobby though and I don't do as much as I used to. Mostly now I just do cross stitch.
