Been a US Marine since 1987, will retire from the Marines in 33 days. Not sure what I want to do after that.....
Had a job interview already with Cleveland Brothers (Catapillar) as a heavy equipment tech. in State College, Pa. Hoping to get that job.

Helped people get new jobs as a recruiter (headhunter) for 3 years, and now just got laid off from Selling Software for the past 7 years. Currently, Metal Detecting and Treasure Hunting is my FULL-TIME gig, ain't I lucky!!! Must not be too good at it because I haven't found enough to pay for my detector yet! But you may agree, some folks just have searching out treasure in their veins, and there is nothing you can do about it, except embrace it! Will probably get another sales job soon so I'm just living and learning everyday, trying to get by day to day.

I sold software for 10 years, then got out of it for a couple, and now I can't get back in!!

I've had a pretty varied history. Started out as a dental assistant and then went to floristry, next I went clerical at a power plant. After that I was in excavating for many years and during that time I did archetectural salvage and sure wish I'd have thought about MDing then! Now I'm a bank rep and a soapmaker. So many things to do and learn and just not enough time for all of them!

I don't make too many posts on this site and most people (if any) really don't know me but I do enjoy reading others posts and have learned a ton. Saying all of that I am wondering if I should just keep my occupation to myself in fear of being banned from the site.

Anyway, I currently work as a project manager for a mid sized call center. Actually we have 5 call centers (3 in Texas and 2 in India). If you are not familiar with the work it is basically a fancy name for telemarketer although most of what we do any more is inbound and data entry type work with some outbound calling for the big phone companies.

Default what do you do for a living?

I am a chef, I worked in hawaii, and Las Vegas for major hotels. Now I am a chef at the sheraton hotel in fairview heights, ILL. Got tired of those big hotels and busting my butt for 12 hour a day.
