I was a carpenter for five years. On feb 14th. I was layed off. Now i install showers and marble tops. Today was my first day. We did three showers today. I guess that was a good first day on the job. At the Blockade Runner in Wrightsville beach on the 7th floor.

Carolinagirl that is cool i love legos and my dog is named Leg-o she lost a leg and thats the name they gave her

I am a Construction Estimator. Been with my company for over 15 years.

Work has slowed down to a crawl. I have been seeing carpenters laid off on a regular basis.

I wonder if I am going to be next

I am a machinist for Honeywell (great place to work). When im not working there i am a volunteer firefighter. See the guy in the barn that is on fire with the yellow hat? That would be me.

I always sweat it after we are awarded a job. I know I left something out!!

Actually, I feel better when they open the bids and we are in the middle, even though we didnt get the job, I know my numbers are right...LOL

Default County Supervisor of Transportation

I am a South Carolina Dept. of Ed. County Supervisor of Transportation. I manage a School Bus Maintenance Shop. I am responsible for amoung other things maintaining 150 School Buses in Seven School Districts (Dillon, Marion and part of Horry Counties here in SC) with 5 mechanics.
